How we collect, use and protect your personal data

Privacy Policy

Prepared in accordance with GDPR (EU) 2016/679 and applicable EU data protection law. Last updated 12 August 2026.

Morclear Limited ("we", "us", "our") is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit morclear.com and use our services. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@morclear.com.

What Data We Collect

Information you provide, such as name, email address, telephone number, company, and job title. Details you submit through the AI Act assessment tool or a contact or booking form. The content of any message you choose to send us, including by WhatsApp. Usage and device data such as pages visited and IP address.

Why We Use It, and On What Basis

To respond to enquiries and deliver services requested, on the basis of contract or steps taken at your request. To send compliance updates, on the basis of your consent. To operate and improve the website and protect it from misuse, on the basis of our legitimate interests. To meet legal obligations where they apply.

How We Protect Your Data

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable hosted infrastructure. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Service Providers

We do not sell personal data. We use processors to run the website and our own operations, including Shopify for hosting, Formspree for form notifications, Cal.com for booking, Zapier for automation, HubSpot for customer records, Brevo for email, and Anthropic Ireland, Limited for the AI processing behind the assessment tool. Each is engaged under a written data processing agreement as required by Article 28(3). WhatsApp is treated differently and is described separately below. We may disclose data to authorities where we are legally required to do so.

International Transfers

Our AI processing is contracted with Anthropic Ireland, Limited, an entity established within the European Economic Area. Some of our other providers are established outside the EEA. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA it is done under an adequacy decision or under Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission. You can request details of the safeguards applied to any particular transfer.

Retention and Automated Decisions

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or for as long as the law requires. We do not carry out automated decision-making producing legal or similarly significant effects. Assessment tool output is indicative and is reviewed by a person before any advice is given.

The Question Panel and Messaging Us on WhatsApp

The question panel on this website answers common queries using text we have written in advance. It does not use AI, it sets no cookie, and it transmits nothing to us. Nothing at all is collected while you read it.

If you select the WhatsApp option, the button opens WhatsApp on your own device with a message ready to send, and you decide whether to send it. Once you do, we become the controller of the content of that conversation together with your WhatsApp display name and number, and we process it in order to respond to you, on the basis of steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.

WhatsApp is operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. Meta is not our processor for these conversations. It handles your messaging metadata as an independent controller under its own terms, which you agreed to when you installed WhatsApp, and we have no contractual control over that processing. For that reason we ask that you do not send confidential business information, special category data, or details about identified individuals over WhatsApp.

For anything substantive, please use hello@morclear.com or book a scoping call. We keep WhatsApp conversations only for as long as we need them to deal with the enquiry, and you can ask us to delete a conversation at any time.
